Biography

Gabriel Peña is a meteorology major, pursuing a minor in computer science. Gabriel has always had a fascination with severe weather, even as a kid he was always the first one outside, looking at the sky whenever bad weather rolled in. He has carried this passion for weather into adulthood, pursuing a degree in meteorology, as well as having been forecasting tornadoes across the country as a hobby for several years, as well as chasing storms on his own in the Mid-Atlantic region. He has always had a drive to continue to do this in an academic environment, chasing his passion and helping make scientific contributions while doing so. Outside of weather, Gabriel also has a passion for creating music, having been making music for over 9 years. He also enjoys watching baseball, cooking, listening to music, editing videos, working out, photography, and spending time with friends and family.
