Biography
Jasper de Koning is a junior meteorology major at Millersville University. He is an international student from the Netherlands but has come to the United States to pursue a meteorology major, since it is not offered in the Netherlands. Jasper has always been fascinated by weather and hopes that TILTTING can bring him some experience in the research and forecasting fields. He also hopes to gain some expertise in other fields to broaden his meteorological horizons. Additionally, Jasper has always wanted to go storm chasing, and he hopes that this will provide him with a unique opportunity to do so. Besides meteorology, Jasper is also a student-athlete, participating on the Millersville Men’s Tennis Team ever since he joined the university. In his spare time, he enjoys watching sports (Formula 1, soccer, and basketball), hanging out with friends, and watching movies and series. Jasper is very happy to be part of this project and hopes that it will help severe weather forecasting and ultimately save lives.
