Biography
Peyton Simmers is a sophomore Meteorology major with a minor in emergency management. Since he was young, Peyton has loved all kinds of weather from hurricanes to tornadoes to winter storms. He came to Millersville to gain the knowledge of the storms that he grew up watching on The Weather Channel. When TILTTING was created back in 2021, Peyton was intrigued by the research the project wanted to study. He was interested in why the northeast, particularly New Jersey and Southeast PA have become tornado hotspots. When the opportunity came, Peyton applied and joined TILTTING to help in the research and is excited to be a part of the project. After graduation, Peyton plans to become a broadcast meteorologist or work at the National Weather Service. In his free time, Peyton loves to hang out with friends, root for the Green Bay Packers, and watch movies.
